There are many ways you can celebrate the New Year from watching the ball drop to dancing the night away. However, after the festivities, Surdyke Yamaha likes to do what we do best to ring in the new year - enjoy the great outdoors! There's no better way to celebrate the new year at the Lake of the Ozarks other than getting out onto the water. Although it may be too cold to get into the water, it is the perfect time to hop on your boat to go fishing! During the winter months, anglers can enjoy catching fish like largemouth bass and crappie. The weather outside may be cold, but the fishing at the Lake of the Ozarks is just heating up!

Although the Deer season in Missouri is winding down (archery until January 15 and firearm until January 3), there are many other game hunters can pursue like coyotes (all year), duck (ends January 22) and turkey (archery ends January 15). Ring in the new year by hoping on your ATV to hunt down your first big buck of 2017. Although there's no snow in the forecast, there's no need to worry about it if it does when you own a Yamaha Wolverine or Viking, as they can get you to all the best hunting spots, no matter the weather!

The winter season is a great time to prepare for the summer. If your boat needs servicing or a new paint job, now is the time to do it, as you won't lose any time out on the water! Although we love the summer month, as we get to enjoy time out on the Lake, we also love winter because it's boat show season!
