Lake Race 2015!

BROstock may have come and gone, but there's still plenty of great things happening around the Lake! This week, we are pumped with anticipation for one of the summer's biggest and most thrilling events: Lake Race!

Lake Race 2015

It's one of the most thrilling powerboat races you'll ever see, and it happens right here at the Lake of the Ozarks! Surdyke Yamaha & Marina is here to fill you in on all the details. Here's a quick glance at the Lake Race schedule:

Wednesday, June 3rd
6:00 PM - Volunteer Gathering at Beavers on the Dam. Volunteers will receive their shirts and assignments. As of Monday afternoon, Lake Race organizers were still looking for a few volunteers... If you would be interested in getting up close to the action and helping raise money for great local charities, call the LOWA office at 573-207-4707 (you will have to leave a message) or call Donna at 573-434-4400.

Thursday, June 4th
6:00 PM - Lake Race VIP Reception on the lower patio at Camden on the Lake. This reception is for all sponsors, racers, and committee members. Sponsors will have the opportunity to pick up their info packets and visit with racers and committee members.

Friday, June 5th
6:00 PM - Lake Race Street Party on the Historic Bagnell Dam Strip. The Strip will be closed to traffic starting at 9:00 AM so the Race Village can be set up. The Lake Race Street Party is open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to attend. Participants will get to enjoy a family fun zone as well as see the boats up close and meet the racers. The Patrick Lentz Band from Kansas City will perform live starting at 8:30 PM.

Saturday, June 6th
Race Day, #1!!
9:00 AM - Strip closes to traffic so spectators can find their places.
11:30 AM - Honorary Chairman Emeritus Dave Scott will take the first lap
11:55 AM - Opening Ceremony on the docks at Beavers at the Dam
12:00 PM - Lake Race 2015 begins
4:00 PM - Race concludes and Bagnell Dam is reopened to traffic
8:00 PM - Lake Race Party at Beavers at the Dam

Sunday, June 7th
Race Day, #2!
10:00 AM - Strip closes to traffic so spectators can find their places
11:55 AM - National Anthem
12:00 PM - Racing begins
4:00 PM - Racing concludes and Bagnell Dam is reopened to traffic
5:30 PM - Awards Ceremony on the stage at Beavers at the Dam

Don't forget to stick around on Tuesday, June 9th for the Lake Race Chopper Dropper - a cocktail party and ball drop - held at Osage National Golf Club!
