Most people are familiar with at least some of the hiking trails around the Lake, but some people are surprised to learn that there is also a trail designed specifically for boaters. The trail runs from Grand Glaize Beach to Public Beach No. 1 (and can be traveled in either direction). The Aquatic Trail is 9.75 miles long and takes about two hours to complete - a perfect afternoon activity for the whole family!

The Aquatic Trail provides a totally new perspective of one of the Lake of the Ozarks most scenic locations. Travelers will get to see many of the Lake's natural phenomena along the trail, including (but not limited to):
  • Magnificent Bluffs
  • Natural Caves
  • Quite Woodlands
  • Babbling Streams
  • Geological Structures
An accompany trail guide tells boaters what to watch for at each stop along the trail and provides fascinating information on the Lake Area's natural splendor. Boaters will learn about everything from wildlife habits to geological processes. 

Buoys are placed at checkpoints along the trail and serve as a guide for participating boaters. The trail guide also includes a map of the trail.

Thanks to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and the Lake of the Ozarks State Park, this scenic trail is available for free to the public, but participants must provide their own boats. For more information on the aquatic trail, check out the Missouri State Parks website.
