The weather's finally warming up! If you've been looking for the perfect opportunity to finally break out your favorite Surdyke Yamaha Watercraft , you need look no further than one of the Lake's favorite semi-annual event: Harbor Hop! This is a great opportunity for both vacationers and locals to come together for a great day on the water. Harbor Hop is coming up fast - the big day is this Saturday, May 3rd!  Most of the participating venues open by 9:00 or 11:00 AM . You can start and end at any time you like as long as you turn in your completed hand by 7:00 PM!   There is a suggested  $15 donation per 7-card hand, and each player can get as many hands as he or she wants. Travel to different locations around the Lake and pick up a new card at each one until you get all seven. You can begin and end your day at any event you choose! Boating safety at the Lake of the Ozarks is a priority for the Surdyke Yamaha team.  All of our watercraft are extremely safe on the water, but there are items you should always include in the boat to make sure you and your family or guests have a fun and safe boating experience.  Here is a boating checklist you should consider: Boat Checklist Always have a personal flotation device for each person on the boat National statistics show 79% of those killed in boating accidents were not wearing a life jacket. Last year in Missouri that number was closer to 90% of boating fatality victims not wearing a life jacket. Missouri law requires boaters to have a life jacket on board and accessible for each occupant of the boat. Children under the age of seven are required to wear a life jacket whenever they are on a boat unless they are in the cabin area of a house boat or cruiser.
