Surdyke Yamaha Gives Back to Military and First Responder Charities!

The 2018 Boat and PWC "Ride for Freedom" event took place on September 9th, 2018 and is designed to honor the memory of 9/11/2001, and to celebrate and support our area's First Responders and Military! This 150-mile ride from Surdyke's Port 20 all the way to Truman Dam and back to Dog Days Bar and Grill at the 19MM of the Lake of the Ozarks! This was a remarkable event and we want to thank everyone who had involvement with this event to honor the memory of 9/11/2001 and support our areas First Responders and Military!

Surdyke Yamaha Gives Back 100% of the Donations

This is a fun community event that Surdyke Yamaha puts on to honor and remember the brave people in our community and country. In addition to honoring the memory of 9/11/2001, and celebrating and supporting our area's First Responders and Military, this event is designed to support our local charities. This year,100% of all donations were split equally between the following 4 Charities:

1. Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) Charity. Since 1984, C.O.P.S. has provided healing, love and life renewed for America's surviving law enforcement families. 

2. Cadet Thomas Surdyke Memorial Foundation. Developing student leaders by providing schools and organizations with inspiring leadership programs which will engage students in moral, ethical and strategic problem solving to start them on the path to becoming exceptional leaders of character.

3. Supporting Heroes Charity. Creating a vehicle by which citizens could show their appreciation for the daily service sacrifices of public safety servants. Honoring those in the police, fire, and EMS services who make the ultimate sacrifice. 

4. The Mission Continues Charity. The Mission Continues empowers veterans who are adjusting to life at home to find purpose through community impact. Deploying veterans on new missions in their communities, so that their actions will inspire future generations to serve.


Save the Date for Next Year's Ride for Freedom!

Next year, the Boat and PWC Ride for Freedom will take place on Sunday, September 8, 2019. Whether you wish to ride or donate your time and/or resources we hope that we can get more and more people involved every year! As a way to say thank you, our motorsports company at the Lake of the Ozarks provides FREE Waverunners to 1st Responders. Military, and National Guardspeople to use for the event. Again, we can't thank everyone enough for all the support to make this event happen! We hope to see you all next year for another great Ride for Freedom!
