Labor Day Weekend will be a busy time out on the Lake. Here
are a few helpful tips to make sure you are prepared.
(1) Stay
hydrated – this is something people often forget about. Being out on the
water all day under the hot sun can easily dehydrate you. If you’re not
drinking enough water, or any water at all, your fun won’t last long.
Helpful hint: Keep a
water bottle with you and in plain sight so you remember to stay hydrated.
(2) Pack
ahead of time – there is nothing more stressful than running around the
house at the last minute, trying to make sure you packed everything. Pack your
items ahead of time, this will keep you from forgetting any important items you
may need.
Helpful hint: In order
to make sure you packed everything, create a list to follow. Mark things off once
you have packed them. If you visit the lake often, keep this list for future
use.
(3) Stay safe
– Labor Day Weekend is a busy time on the water. Make sure you know the rules
and are well prepared. If you’re going to be drinking, make sure you have a
designated driver for the boat.
Helpful hint: Before
you head out onto the lake, you should make sure your boat is in proper working
condition. Check your fuel levels and make sure your lights are working
properly, especially if you are going to stay out at night to watch the
fireworks from your boat.
