Deer Hunting Season Guide

Now that fall is here, hunting season here in Missouri has begun! There is just something exciting about hunting wild game and providing a bounty for you and your family to eat. Archery season has already begun for both deer and turkey but many hunters are looking forward to the arrival of the firearm season. Deer Season

Deer - Archery 

September 15th, 2019 - November 15th, 2019
November 27th, 2019 - January 15th, 2020

Hours 

One-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset

Limits 

Archer's Hunting Permit: two deer of either sex. Only one antlered deer may be taken before November 16.
**You may take only two antlered deer during the archery and firearms deer hunting seasons combined. 

Deer - Firearms, Alternative Methods 

December 28th. 2019 - January 07, 2020

Hours 

One-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset

Limits 

  • Only one antlered deer may be taken during the entire firearms season (all portions combined).
  • You may take only two antlered deer during the archery and firearms deer hunting seasons combined

Deer - Firearms, Antlerless

December  6th, 2019 - December 08,2019 

Hours 

One-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset

Limits

Only antlerless deer may be harvested during the Antlerless Portion. Limits vary by county.

Deer - Firearms, November Portion 

November 16th, 2019 - November 26th, 2019 

Hours

One-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset

Limits 

Only one antlered deer may be taken during the entire firearms season (all portions combined).

Deer - Firearms, Youth 

November 2nd, 2019 - November 3rd, 2019  
November 29th to December 1st, 2019  

Hours

One-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset
Limits 
  • Only one deer (of either sex) may be taken during the early youth portion. If you have more than one permit, you must use them in another portion.
  • Only one antlered deer may be taken during the entire firearms season (all portions combined).
  • You may take only two antlered deer during the archery and firearms deer hunting seasons combined.
