Pop up thunderstorms are very common here at the Lake of the Ozarks. Have you ever been caught up in a thunderstorm when you boating? Thunderstorms can be very unpredictable and dangerous when you're out on the water. Because thunderstorms are so common in the summer, it's best to be prepared. Today, our boat dealership at the Lake of the Ozarks would like to share with you some boater safety tips when a thunderstorm pops up while you're boating. Boating is Fun, BUT Don't Risk it if There is a High Chance for a Thunderstorm Thunderstorms are one of the more common dangers to boaters because they can develop so quickly. If you are out on the water and you notice storms that are approaching, you should return to land or shelter as soon as possible. If you own a boat at the Lake of the Ozarks you've likely spent a lot of time out on the water this summer - at least we hope you have! This means that you've also spent time around docks whether you enjoy going to waterfront restaurants, fueling up, or storing your boat, being around docks can't be avoided. It doesn't matter if you've been a boat owner for many years or you're new to the boating life, maintaining proper etiquette while docking your boat is important. Get Ready for the 25th Annual Three Rivers Run!

Summer at the Lake of the Ozarks is in full swing! Are you looking for a fun way to cool off while benefiting a good cause? Check out Tri-County YMCA’s 25th Annual Three Rivers Run sponsored by Surdyke Yamaha , Mark’s Mobile Glass and Tim Seebold! Read on to learn more about the Three Rivers Run and how to register. The Three Rivers Run will be taking place on July 24, 2019. This event involves a thrilling 240 mile personal watercraft run that spans across three major Missouri rivers. Starting on the Osage River below the Bagnell Dam, this run connects to the Missouri River before ending in the Mississippi River right in front of the famous Missouri landmark—the Saint Louis Gateway Arch. All proceeds will go towards the Tri-County YMCA of the Ozarks. The $750 entry fee includes all needed fuel, oil, lunch and the after-party at the Ameristar Hotel and Casino in St. Charles.
